What makes our creations unique?

You may notice that no 2 creations are quite alike! 

Feathers are sourced from known bird parents and farms who collect the feathers after their natural molting process. 

For our hats, we scour thrift stores and resale boutiques collecting fabrics, linens, curtains, whatever speaks to us, to then be reimagined for truly unique headwear. 

Look closely and you may see upholstery fabric from a once-beloved chair, or the curtains from your grandmothers house!

Our History:  Starting out we were Tickle Ye Fancy who  had been showing at faires for over 2 decades. Originally owned by Karen (aka Momma Bear). Upon her first year in Florida, 2016, Genessis visited the Bay Area Renaissance Faire. She was not a stranger to faire, having been a big part of that world for a couple of decades. It was there that she met Karen and through the months to follow, they became good friends. The following season, Genessis began working for Karen in the booth bringing her own creations to add to the inventory of wonderful headwear. In 2019, Karen decided to step down, giving the ownership to Genessis, with the insistence by Genessis that Karen stay on to help out and contribute as she would like. In 2025, a name change was long overdue to reflect the extended direction the booth was going; and so Feathered & Fancy was born!

Over this short time, the assortment of feathers, hat styles and headpieces have gained popularity beyond what they could have dreamed. Their combined talents, creativity and friendship show in each piece of art they create.
